After a break for a year or so, Wendy has returned to teaching on Tuesday nights at West Coburg Bowls Club.
Wendy is well known on the rock and roll dance scene and has previously taught the Tuesday night class many times over the past few years. Come along and say hello, and join in the classes and learn some new moves.
Wendy and Vic will also be running the Sat night dance at Buckley Bowls from Feb 2018.

After 30 years of teaching rock n roll, swing and cha cha, and running social dances, Adrian has decided to retire at the end of 2017.
Dances and dance classes will continue. Sunday nights will be run as a social night, with walk thru of line dances, progressives and partner dances during the night. Sundays will be hosted by Jocelyn and Charles.
Tuesday night rock n roll classes will be taught by Wendy who has taught the class many times over the past few years.

From late Nov 2017 the Wednesday night class at Forest Hill has a new dance teacher - Peter Middleton.
Many will know Peter from the advanced rock n roll and Boogie Woogie classes he taught at the Whitehorse in May - July 2016.
Peter is a young, energetic dancer who has won many dance competitions with dance partner Courtney. He has been teaching on Monday night with Slydog Rockers at Bentleigh Bowls Club for the past year, and has also taught in Emerald.

From Sun 21st Jan 2018 there will be a new dance "Social Sundays at Chatham", to be held at Chatham Primary School, 1 Banool Rd Surrey Hills.
This new social dance night will be hosted by Jocelyn & Charles, well known to many of the Red Hot Rockers.
Dance from 6 - 9pm, entry $10. BYO food and drinks.

DANCE PERFORMANCE on Thurs 20th and Fri 21st July @ Hawthorn Town Hall
Red Hot Rockers were invited to perform in an event at the Hawthorn Town Hall on Thurs 20th and Fri 21st July, called the "Inaugural Annual Dance Affair" put on by the Boorondarra Council.

Rock n Roll dances return to the Whitehorse Club on Fri 19th May.

We all love our dance floors and the great dance venues who welcome us. Rock and rollers have a great reputation as fun loving and well behaved patrons so lets all work together to hold true to that reputation and remember to treat our dance venues with respect. Sunday and Mondays classes at Chatham Primary, 1 Banool Rd Surrey Hills, will be adding an extra class to compliment and expand on the current rockabilly and westcoast classes with "Introduction to Dancing to Blues, and Styles Of Music with A Blues Feel".

Rockabilly classes on Sunday afternoon / evening have been so popular that they will continue in Feb. Rockabilly is an easy form of dance to learn with no backstep. It is often called "pub rock". It can be danced to very fast music and has lots of spins.

Lots of dancing for everyone this weekend, and next week, with dances on Fri in Essendon, Sat in Wantirna plus workshops Sun-Wed.
Fri night dance at Buckley Park with Rockin Daddys, Sat night dance at CAV with the Fender Benders, Sunday westcoast workshop and social at Surrey hills, 5-9pm, then Cha Cha workshops at usual class times on Mon in Surrey Hills, Tues in Coburg and Wed in Forest Hill. Congratulations to Red Hot Rockers dance teacher Adrian Spadaro for his nomination for Victorian Rock n Roll Dance Association Hall of Fame for 2017.
Adrian has made a considerable contribution to the Melbourne rock n roll scene over the past 25 plus years, firstly as a dance competitor, then as a dance teacher and dance promoter. At Monday nights salsa class the term Ambidancer was used. An ambidancer is a person who can dance as both a lead and a follow. Durring the beginners class there were more ladies (follows) than guys (leads) so durring the class Adrian had the 2 spare ladies dance as leads and follows.
