The switch was a fun challenge that everyone mastered and are looking forward to dancing at the social dances. The foursome cha cha was also a fun dance to learn and everyone picked it up quickly, so we hope to see lots of people dancing it with their friends at the social dances. See the video below.

What is Westcoast?
Westcoast is a very smooth and easy dance to learn, a type of modern jive / ceroc dance style that can be danced to most music from top 40 hits, to big band swing music, and everything in between, as well as rock n roll. Its a great dance to know when the music isn't right for rock n roll and once you learn it you can use all your rock n roll moves to dance westcoast. There is some confusion with this and West Coast Swing which is a lindy hop derivative...Read Full Post »

A fun afternoon / evening was enjoyed at Camberwell Bowls Xmas party. It was a very hot day which put off several people but those who turned up enjoyed a fun time dancing in airconditioned comfort, and then welcomed the cool change. Everyone enjoyed the lovely food and having a chat, plus some fun social dancing after the line dance class. Adrian also taught the "Greased lightening" line dance which was a heap of fun and everyone mastered at least some of the moves.Read Full Post »
