Line dance for February "The Switch"

Posted by jocbloy on January 25, 2015 at 10:55 PM

Interested in learning "The Switch" progressive rock n roll dance? It will be taught every Sunday afternoon in February at 5pm at Camberwell Bowls Club, 14 Bowen St Camberwell, as part of Adrian's sunday workshops and social dance.

The switch is a fun dance to do with a group of friends and can be danced to any rock n roll song. It consists of 5 basic moves danced in a line with 3 or more couples. The ladies move along the line while the guys switch sides each time you change partners. Its easy to learn and a great way for a group to all dance with each other at a dance. Come and have a go at it and check out this new sunday afternoon/evening dance venue. Bring some food for dinner and enjoy a drink from the bar.

Everyone enjoyed learning the switch and mastered the routine. When you see a line of people dancing it at a dance, feel free to join in but remember to join in at the end of the line, never in the middle. Guys alternate sides (switch) so before joining in make sure you are on the correct side otherwise it doesn't work. Remember that the couple at the end of the line dance with each other twice. Have fun switching :)

The switch is great fun to dance with a group of friends, so make the effort to go along and learn it.
