The first salsa class on Mon 17th Oct at the lovely new venue at Chatham Primary School, Surrey Hills, was well attended and a lot of fun. Adrian spent time on learning the footwork for salsa and how to get the hips moving. We're all now great at counting 1,2,3,- 5,6,7 - :). Once the different footwork was mastered we then learnt 8 different moves and danced them to various speeds of music. Those familar with cha cha found it to be similar moves but with different footwork and timing. It was great fun learning something different and dancing to some upbeat modern music as a change from rock n roll. We all went home exhausted and pleased to have mastered something new.
Another salsa class will be held on Mon 24th Oct 6.30-9.30pm. No classes on Mon 31st Oct as its the big Cup Eve dance.
Depending on demand the Mon class will continue as either salsa or rock n roll in November.
